Senior Product Manager, Core Application
Senior Product Manager, Core ApplicationPlaxo – the best way to keep in touch with the people you care about – is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive user engagement and satisfaction through its core address book application. We started as a different kind of address book, one that helps you stay connected with your network. Since then, we've introduced smart, socially aware features that help over 20 million users stay connected. Recently, we've joined the Comcast Interactive Media team and will be the center of a unified Social Media experience across the web, TV and more.
The Product Manager will create and manage Plaxo's features that make our address book smart, socially aware, connected and pervasive. The Product Manager will be champion for their area, creating and maintaining a roadmap of programs and projects, working with partners, developing detailed requirements, and implementing them with the full Plaxo team.
The Product Manager, will:
- Drive Plaxo's engagement features, acting as general manager of their area
- Translate business objectives (engaged users, specific engagement metrics, net promoter score) into a prioritized roadmap of user engagement programs and projects including:
- Guiding users to better engage with Plaxo
- Promoting tools to build address books
- Enhancing profiles to help users keep their contact info up to date
- Providing key applications to enable users to access their address books when and where they want to
- Giving users useful social context to help them keep in touch
- Offering relevant and appealing premium services that enhance the user experience
- Analyze social properties to benchmark best-of-breed engagement features
- Document requirements and collaborate with User Experience, Development and partners to balance user impacts and technical feasibility with engagement metrics
- Work flexibly with other stakeholders and partners to identify issues and create innovative solutions that meet objectives and maintain aggressive schedules
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, Agile development environment
- Assist with business development efforts to identify potential partners and develop mutually beneficial relationships and products
- Interact with the Executive team on strategic direction, roadmap and progress
The ideal candidate has:
- 3-5 years product management experience
- 2-3 years of experience driving user engagement, preferably in the address book or contact management space
- A track record of driving results
- Familiarity with and interest in address book and contact management applications, social networking properties and mobile applications
- Quantitative abilities to analyze opportunities, optimize feature design and monitor and analyze business results
- Experience working in a small to medium-sized Internet company
- Experience working in a dynamic Agile development environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent judgment in making tradeoffs and finding simple solutions to complex problems
- A can-do, roll-up-the sleeves attitude
- A Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)

QA Engineer
Job Responsibilities:- Close collaboration with development and product management teams to define, develop, and execute, test plans, test cases, and create test data.
- Identify and communicate strategy for testing methodologies. Review and report on test progress, status, risks, issues and coverage, and meet test completion and delivery milestones that you help define.
- Create and maintain documentation for testing activities, this includes writing test plans and high level test cases to ensure adequate test coverage, as well as modifying test cases in accordance with changing requirements and designs.
- Hands-on functional, integration, regression, data validation, cross-platform and end-to-end testing. This includes manual testing of web applications for compatibility in multiple web browsers for css/html/server side code problems, usability issues, and performance issues.
- Be able to identify, report, prioritize, reproduce and validate issues. Work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Build relationships between development and production teams through communication, cooperation, and teamwork. Work with core teams during all phases of the product life cycle.
- Contribute to setting and evaluating milestone criteria such that product is released on schedule with high quality.

Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ Experience in Web server technology.

Data Analyst
The Data Analyst will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing web site and application data to advance our understanding of the behavior of visitors and customers on Plaxo’s web sites and how to optimize site design, flows, and content. This position will work with internal departments to define, develop, and deliver site reporting and analysis that informs strategic and tactical decision-making related to Plaxo’s site, products, marketing, and overall business efforts.Responsibilities:
- Work with Plaxo Product, Engineering, and Business groups to define and develop reporting and analysis based on key performance indicators and metrics in order to optimize product offerings, marketing campaigns, site content and functionality
- Proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve web site effectiveness by drilling into click stream and application data
- Maintain dashboards and general reporting activities.
- Develop best practice approaches for analyzing user behavior on the web site(s), for configuring web analytics technology, and for interpreting data
- Participate in web site projects as a measurement and analytics expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation, and evaluating post-launch metrics
